William H. Gill Consulting
My professionalism, your ultimate added value.

Insurance broker and Risk Management Services. My focus is on providing professional insurance services to small businesses, home based business, physicians, and other professionals.   I do not believe that any business is so small that it does not deserve complete professionalism in support of its access to the complicated world of Insurance and Risk Management.

Use of  Major Credit Cards

For those of you who need to use a credit card to pay their insurance premium charges, I am able to accept major cards through the use of PayPal.com.  A processing fee of 3% of the amount charged through PayPal will be added to the amount due me for any charge.  If you wish to use PayPal to pay your premium, please be sure to notify me of your desire at the time you ask me to find coverage for you, so I can include this additional fee in the amount quoted for your coverage.  Failure to make this request will not mean, however, that you can't change your mind later and request the use of this facility at that time.

Time Management and Securing an Insurance Proposal

Underwriters will require substantial information, including the completion of often long and complicated application forms, and the submission of a  number of other supporting documents, before they will commence processing an application for coverage. The entire process may take a long time to complete.  At best, please don't expect the selected underwriters to respond to your submission in less than ten business days;  at certain times of the year, when heavy renewal or new business activity occurs (for example, around 35% of all commercial risks renew on January 1st of each year), the minimum response time may be expected to lengthen to 20 or more business days.  Depending on the nature of the coverage requested, if additional independent verification of the submission is required by either employees of the insurance company (safety engineers or claims professionals) or retail reporting companies, the underwriting process will stretch out to include time for this activity to be completed.

This fact  suggests that except in the case of a true emergency, you should allow at least 15 business days for your proposal to be received from the underwriter.  In the case of very difficult risks, it might even take longer.

Without Insurance, the dreams
Of the Silvered Sails of Phoenicia or the Golden Star Ships of the Galaxy
remain only dreams.
